Since 2008, Laurie Giftochristos has been providing Newmarket and York Region businesses with a place to connect and ways to give back. As her business vision has developed she has added new ways for everyone to give and to network.

After years in the corporate world, Laurie decided to launching her company, EZ Connections & Events. The decision grew naturally out of her years of being involved with, and organizing, local community and fundraising events. In 2011, Laurie purchased the York Region franchise of Two Blonds and a Brunette and has since formalized her status as the Queen of Giving, providing gift baskets and innovative gifts for her clients and to local charities for fundraising.

Laurie’s premier event each year is the Grand Dessert Night for the Canadian Cancer Society. As one of York Region’s premier fundraisers, Laurie has developed close relationships with local businesses and supporters. Laurie is the founder of the York Region Chapter of Company of Women, where women develop their wisdom, wellness and wealth through networking and mentoring programs. With events here in Newmarket, and all over southern Ontario, there are continuous opportunities for members to grow their businesses and meet new contacts while nourishing their own personal growth.
